Human Rights

My passion for human rights has lead me to defend human rights both independently and with various human rights organisations. In 2019, I will be the QLD State Coordinator of Action Aid Australia, the QLD community organiser for the Refugee COuncil of Australia, and continuing as the media/comms team leader of Amnesty International QLD/NNSW.

I whole-heartedly support the work of the United Nations. I’ve attended a UN Student Seminar, been a Youth Assembly Delegate, and volunteered with UN Youth Australia.

70 years ago, the United Nations created the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations. It sets out fundamental human rights to be universally protected. As both an individual, and with various organisations, I’m a passionate Human Rights activist, guided by the UDHR.

I co-created and co-host the Activist Connect podcast, seeking to engage, educate, entertain, and connect Amnesty International Australia activists across the country. Although the podcast won’t fully launch on iTunes and Spotify until early 2019 when season 1 is complete, you can listen to some of the latest episodes here…
